Legal Services Department
- Provide legal advice to the Ministry
- Support policy formulation in relation to the pieces of legislation administered by the Minister
- Draft Bills
- Examine legal and court process and provide the requisite services
- Provide legal support during negotiations for international, regional or local co-operating frameworks between the Ministry and other parties
- Draft agreements, memoranda of understanding and other related frameworks
- Review relevant regional and international treaties to, among others, assess Zimbabwe’s compliance
- Facilitate the accession to, adoption and ratification of regional and international treaties
- Draft all relevant legal documentation
- Interpret and assist in the implementation of disciplinary regulations and related frameworks
- Liaise with the Attorney General’s Office on all relevant matters
